The Mirrors are a Hawkes Bay based band with a difference. The Mirrors are based around the pairing of Jackie Gibson (vocals, percussion, ukelele) and Ivan Sawyer (vocals, guitar), with the addition of Marty Forrer (vocals, double bass). A drummer is also used where and when required.
Eclectic is the word to describe the repertoire of The Mirrors. Songs from such diverse artists as the Pretenders, the Neville Brothers, Lou Reed, Lyle Lovett, Michelle Shocked, the Cure, Bruce Springsteen and the Beatles, are mixed with songs from the 50s rock n roll era, plus a helping of swing, jump blues, country .....
The Mirrors are rapidly becoming very popular around Hawkes Bay, with recent gigs including the Cabana, wineries, weddings and the inaugral Redwood Sessions for the TeMata Park Trust.
